Privacy Policy
Safelyn helps creches record child arrivals, departures, parent authorisations, and attendance history. This page is the public privacy summary for partners, families, and app store review.
Information we process
- Creche account details such as creche name, staff names, staff email addresses, and support contacts.
- Child records such as first name, last name, class, QR code, and attendance history.
- Guardian records such as name, email address, phone number, learner links, and authorised pickup vehicles.
- Operational logs such as arrival and pickup timestamps, who recorded an event, pickup plate verification, alert responses, and attendance corrections.
Why we use this information
- To confirm learner arrival and pickup activity.
- To generate daily and monthly attendance history.
- To send invite emails and school notifications.
- To maintain an audit trail for creche safeguarding and compliance.
Data storage
Safelyn is designed to use a central Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database chosen by the service operator. Creches should configure their own retention period and access rules before production use.
Data sharing
Safelyn shares data only with the creche staff, linked guardians, and authorised platform administrators who need it to operate the service. We do not sell child or guardian data.
Retention and deletion
Attendance records may be retained for safeguarding and audit obligations even if an account is deleted. Account deletion requests can be submitted through the app or through the account deletion page published with the deployment.
